A monoski is a wide ski with both bindings mounted side by side. It lets you draw beautiful lines in deep snow, through the moguls, or carving on the piste.

Unlike snowboarding, monoskiing is done with poles. You also ride facing forward, not sideways.

Born in the 1980s, the monoski left its mark on a whole generation of skiers looking for new sensations. Now being rediscovered by the curious and the nostalgic, it remains a fun and original way to enjoy the slopes, with a retro spirit and the pure pleasure of gliding.

Our monoskis: Snowgunz

We rent monoskis from Snowgunz, the monoski specialist developed in Chamonix by four generations of monoski instructors.

Our monoskis are fitted with Look SPX bindings, adapted for the monoski.

The monoski community

Locally, one of the historic faces of the discipline is Pierre Lauzet: a long-time lift attendant in Saint-Jean-d’Aulps, he has kept monoskiing alive in our valleys through many gatherings.
